Overview
The Lead Culinary Specialist will be responsible for the precise and efficient preparation, portioning, cooking, and presentation of substantial quantities of food items for various meal periods, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, and special events. The primary duties of this role encompass those outlined below, but LifeView Group may assign additional responsibilities as needed. These duties may vary among different accounts based on operational needs and client specifications.
Key Responsibilities
- Experience: A minimum of two (2) years of experience in food service or a related industry is required.
- Kitchen Knowledge: Must possess a solid understanding of basic kitchen operations.
- Recipe Proficiency: Ability to read and interpret recipes and menus accurately.
- Eligibility: Must meet the necessary eligibility criteria for work assignments on designated contracts.
- Customer Interaction: Capable of engaging appropriately with customers, government personnel, subcontractors, and LifeView Group management.
- Instruction Comprehension: Must understand both oral and written instructions effectively.
- Screening Requirements: Must successfully pass organizational screening processes, including state or federal background checks as applicable.
Physical Demands
The role may involve travel to various locations and buildings throughout the year, often under diverse weather conditions. Most tasks will be performed indoors. Interaction with cleaning chemicals may occur. Adherence to Emergency Operations Work Assignments as per customer requirements is essential. Work schedules may vary and can include early mornings, mid-mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
While executing the responsibilities of this position, the team member is frequently required to bend, crouch, walk, climb stairs and ladders, reach overhead, sit (to drive), and lift items weighing up to 40 pounds. Occasionally, lifting or moving items up to 50 pounds may be necessary.
