Job Overview

As a Customer Service Representative, you'll play a vital role in achieving this goal.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure customers have a seamless parking experience and facilitate the expedient flow of traffic through the facility.
  • Assist customers in making payment to fully automated revenue control equipment.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, guided by the SP+ Promise.
  • Assist in the management of the day-to-day activities of the assigned location.
  • Monitor parkers in pay-in lanes.
  • Make every customer interaction a moment that matters through friendly and professional conduct.
  • Assist customers who have forgotten where they parked their vehicle.
  • Perform other necessary functions as assigned.
  • Conduct garage and facility audits as required by management.
  • Count the "bank" of revenue (if required) at the beginning of the shift to ensure the starting total is correct.
  • Make change (if required) for customers before transactions.
  • Quote rates for parking services.
  • Give directions to city locations and assist customers, ensuring they get where they're going quickly and easily.
  • Resolve customer complaints independently or with the aid of a supervisor.
  • Answer the telephone in a prompt and courteous manner (if required).
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the facility and pick up trash in the surrounding area.
  • Present yourself professionally (neat appearance and in uniform) at all times while at work.
  • Arrive to work on time for scheduled shifts.
  • Complete any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Experience with automated parking access control hardware and software or a high aptitude for technology.
  • Availability to work 2nd shift, 3rd shift, and/or weekends may be required.
  • A valid state-issued driver's license, with a current address and acceptable driving record, if the individual is expected to be able to drive a company vehicle or drive on company business.

Work Environment:

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • The exposure level in the work environment to vehicle emissions is moderate to high.
  • The exposure level in the work environment to extreme hot/cold temperatures is moderate to high.
  • The work environment is subject to all weather conditions, including precipitation and wind.
  • The exposure level in the work environment to bright sunlight and nighttime working conditions is high.

Physical Demands:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
