Assembly Technician

Job Summary:

This entry-level position involves assembling rollers onto roller shafts and performing light assembly of conveyor components onto conveyor frames. The ideal candidate will possess basic knowledge of assembly techniques and be able to work in accordance with specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble rollers onto roller shafts and place pulleys, sleeves, and other components.
  • Check sizes according to print specifications and ensure accuracy.
  • Read prints and ABMs for roller assembly and verify correct specifications.
  • Train and assist in other departments as production needs require.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by the Assembly Foreman or Manufacturing Manager.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Basic use of hand tools, including hand drill, metric and English ruler, pulley press, roller machine, computer, hammer, screwdriver, gauges, calculator, and wrenches.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
