We are seeking recent nursing graduates to join our Nurse Residency Program at Swedish Health Services. As a nurse resident, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in a variety of specialties, working alongside experienced nurses and healthcare professionals.

Job Summary

The Nurse Residency Program is designed to provide new graduate nurses with the tools and support needed to succeed in their careers. Through a combination of didactic education, clinical training, and mentorship, we aim to equip our nurse residents with the skills and confidence necessary to deliver high-quality patient care.

About the Role

  • Assist experienced nurses in providing direct patient care, including assessments, medications, and treatments.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, taking into account their unique needs and goals.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and share best practices with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program within the past 12 months.
  • Current RN licensure in Washington State.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Ability to work variable shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
