Job Duties:
  • Collaborate with the therapy team to provide high-quality care and services to residents.
  • Select and implement therapy activities tailored to meet the unique needs and abilities of each resident.
  • Assist residents with daily activities, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Monitor residents' progress and provide encouragement and support.
  • Teach residents how to use assistive equipment to enhance their daily functioning.
  • Work closely with the Occupational Therapist (OT) to develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans.
  • Supervise residents' activities to ensure proper execution and safety.
  • Provide regular updates to the OT on residents' progress.
  • Assist with administrative and clerical tasks as needed to support the therapy team.
Requirements:
  • A graduate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) program.
  • Current OTA license.
  • Experience in long-term care settings preferred.
