Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality patient care and customer service, ensuring a safe and effective experience for patients and families.
  • Participate in planning and preparing for patient visits, ensuring accurate schedules, test results, and clinic-specific requirements are available.
  • Room patients in a timely and efficient manner, documenting chief complaints, vital signs, medication lists, allergies, and other relevant information.
  • Perform various clinical procedures, including hearing and vision testing, EKG, spirometry, point-of-care testing, specimen collection, and equipment cleaning/reprocessing.
  • Prepare and stock rooms and clinic supplies, ensuring a clean and organized environment for patients and staff.
  • Assist with routine and specialty procedures, scheduling patients for follow-up appointments or referrals as needed.
  • Perform routine clerical duties, including photocopying, scanning, and faxing, to support the team and staff.
  • Respect and maintain patient confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines at all times.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program preferred.
  • Minimum six months of experience in a medical setting or completion of an approved Medical Assistant training program.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
