Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Protect and Guard Assets: Safeguard all assets, staff, patients, and visitors within and around the clinic.
  • Perform Regular Patrols: Conduct regular patrols to detect and prevent potential security threats.
  • Document Incidents: Accurately document all routine activities and incidents, including any security breaches or concerns.
  • Enforce Policies and Laws: Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, laws, and regulations, including state regulatory agency requirements.
  • Secure the Building: Ensure that the building is properly secured after closing, including locking doors and setting alarms.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Possess and maintain current certifications, including Guard Card, D.O.J. Chemical Agent, CPR, driver's license, and BLS Certification (American Heart Association or Red Cross).
  • Communication Skills: Ability to clearly and concisely express ideas using appropriate vocabulary and spelling.
  • Training and Development: Ability to complete continual training classes as required to stay up-to-date on security protocols and procedures.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with Primary & Specialty Care employees, Management, Security Management, Local Law Enforcement, and surrounding community.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to independently resolve issues working within set policies and procedures.
  • Resourcefulness: Ability to know and use available resources in order to solve problems.
  • Equipment Operation: Ability to operate security-related equipment and general office equipment.
  • Public Relations: Ability to recognize the importance of dealing diplomatically with the public, and the importance of a good public appearance.
  • Communication: Ability to relay information, either in writing or verbally, in a professional manner.
  • Geographic Knowledge: Knowledge and understanding of all Security Program operational policies and guidelines, as well as knowledge of applicable geography in order to expedite calls and to be an effective information source.
  • Radio Communication: Knowledge of penal and radio codes and language used in radio communications.
  • Physical Ability: Physical ability to handle various intervention incidents, including patient restraints and violent subjects.
  • Visual and Hearing Ability: Visual and hearing ability to detect and report unusual circumstances quickly and accurately.
  • Security Knowledge: Working knowledge of security practices, protocols, and techniques.
Salary Range

$28.24 / Hourly
