The Adventure Park at Virginia Aquarium is seeking dedicated individuals to serve as Park Monitors. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the safety and enjoyment of our guests while fostering a positive outdoor experience.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct daily operational tasks, including check-in procedures and retail management.
- Oversee and guide guests during their activities, providing coaching and feedback to enhance their experience.
- Engage actively with visitors to deliver exceptional service and address their needs effectively.
- Serve as the initial point of contact for any guest concerns or emergencies, collaborating with management as necessary.
- Assist in maintaining park facilities and grounds, contributing to overall park operations.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and enjoyable environment for all.
- Communicate effectively with the management team regarding operational updates and guest feedback.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned to support park operations.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions and at heights.
- Must be at least 18 years of age and capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Prior experience in customer service is advantageous.
- Experience in adventure tourism or working with large groups is preferred.
- Climbing experience is a plus but not mandatory.
- This position is hourly and may be seasonal or part-time based on operational needs.
- Flexibility for both weekdays and weekends is required.
- All candidates must complete a paid orientation and training session.
The pay range for this position is between $14 and $15 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
