Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our medical unit team at Intermountain Health St Vincent Regional Hospital in Billings, Montana.

About the Role

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating care of patients. This role requires the ability to utilize the nursing process, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members.

Responsibilities
  • Assess, recognize and address patients' psychological and physical needs
  • Foster quality care with the best interests of patients and their families in mind
  • Communicate effectively and compassionately with patients and colleagues
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines
  • Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs
  • Participate in clinical team conferences
  • Follow hospital, regulatory, and professional guidelines, policies, and procedures
Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice is required
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS-HCP) certification upon hire or obtained within 60 days of hire with prior approval
