This role is essential in maintaining compliance with all safety standards and regulations while executing daily vehicle inspections and condition reports.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough pre- and post-operation inspections of the vehicle to verify that all safety equipment, gauges, and controls are functioning correctly.
  • Efficiently navigate designated routes to service customers, utilizing route sheets and maps as necessary.
  • Operate vehicle controls in accordance with safety policies to load and unload refuse, ensuring proper disposal at designated facilities.
  • Engage professionally with customers and dispatchers to ensure all routes are serviced effectively.
  • Perform minor repairs on containers as needed and identify any unsatisfactory waste containers for proper tagging.
  • Monitor waste for compliance with company standards and clean up any accidental spills while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Complete necessary documentation, including route/productivity sheets and vehicle condition reports, as required.
  • Maintain productivity standards to ensure timely service to all customers.
  • Participate actively in safety programs and adhere to all company policies.
  • Carry out additional job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong customer service skills to foster positive interactions with clients and colleagues.
  • Effective time management abilities to fulfill responsibilities efficiently.
  • Proven mechanical aptitude for performing minor repairs on containers.
  • Minimum of two years of experience driving commercial trucks is preferred.
  • Possession of a Class A Commercial Driver's License with air brakes endorsement.
