Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled CDL Driver to join our team at Professional Builders Supply. As a CDL Driver, you will be responsible for delivering materials to job sites, inspecting and maintaining your truck, and reporting any issues to your supervisor.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Safely: Participate in a positive work environment, maintain a current Class A or B Commercial Driver's License, and prepare DOT required logs of time on duty and driving.
  • Deliver Materials: Organize and secure loads, assist forklift operators when loading, check orders for accuracy, and deliver and unload materials to customers' satisfaction.
  • Maintain Equipment: Complete daily equipment pre-inspections, record all merchandise returned by truck, and assist in unloading material returned for credit.
  • Provide Excellent Customer Service: Relay messages sent by customers while on the job, assist supervisors and other employees as assigned, and maintain good housekeeping in the yard and warehouse.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or general equivalency degree (GED).
  • Experience: 6 months CDL experience preferred, with basic CDL experience with flat beds and/or tractor trailers required.
  • Skills: Ability to do basic math, read orders, write instructions, and complete forms; ability to effectively and professionally communicate with customers, other employees, and supervisors.
Working Conditions

The physical demands of this role include stooping, bending, twisting, and throwing. You will work in a variety of climates and environmental conditions and be required to lift up to 100 lbs or more on a repetitive basis.
