Montefiore Medical Center is seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team in the Rapid Response Lab at the Einstein campus.
Responsibilities:- Collect and process patient blood samples using proper phlebotomy techniques.
- Review laboratory requisitions and test orders for accuracy before performing phlebotomy.
- Ensure accurate specimen labeling and records collection, and receipt of specimens in the laboratory system.
- Prepare specimens for pick up and adhere to proper infection control practices and HIPAA policies.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Phlebotomy certificate or experience, including 100 successful venipunctures on adults and 25 infant heel/finder sticks, is necessary.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods may be required in some instances.
This is a regular part-time position with a salary of $30.31 per hour. Montefiore Medical Center is an equal employment opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from diverse backgrounds.
