Job Description

This entry-level position in our tax department involves assisting the team with planning and preparing various tax returns, including individual, business, and trust returns. Responsibilities also include bookkeeping, data entry, financial statement preparation, tax planning, and responding to IRS or state tax notices.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting with 150 credit hours or working toward the 150 hours for CPA eligibility in New York State.
  • CPA (or actively preparing for the CPA examination).
  • 0 - 2 years' experience. New or upcoming college graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, be organized, dependable, prioritize, and follow Firm policies/procedures.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work directly with clients and have a commitment to exceptional client service.
