Position Overview
Become a part of our esteemed, Beacon-designated Virtual ICU team We are in search of skilled ICU nurses to deliver exceptional care to critically ill patients utilizing advanced telehealth solutions, while working alongside a collaborative team of specialists. Enjoy the flexibility of 12-hour night shifts.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, explaining policies and procedures to patients and their families, reviewing medical histories, and addressing inquiries with accuracy and courtesy.
- Evaluate patients' physiological and psychological health, identifying mobility issues, sensory deficits, and skin conditions, while adjusting care plans as necessary.
- Formulate individualized patient outcome statements and establish specific goals, prioritizing care activities to achieve desired results.
- Maintain vigilant oversight of patient care, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and effective communication with patients and their families.
- Administer prescribed treatments and medications accurately, while providing emotional support to patients and their families.
- Document all aspects of patient care meticulously, ensuring compliance with departmental policies and facilitating effective communication among the care team.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate treatment plans and ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Participate in discharge planning and provide necessary referrals for post-hospital care, ensuring a smooth transition for patients.
Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State is required, along with any necessary specialized certifications.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in Critical Care is preferred.
- This position involves part-time night shifts.
Compensation Information
The salary range for this role is $90,000-$145,000 per year, reflecting a good faith estimate of potential base compensation.
