Position Overview

CDR Companies is actively seeking dedicated Healthcare Assistants in the Jacksonville area. This role is crucial in providing patient care, particularly in the area of blood collection and ensuring patient comfort throughout the process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare patients prior to blood collection.
  • Communicate blood draw procedures clearly to patients and address any inquiries they may have.
  • Ensure accurate verification of patient information and proper labeling of blood samples.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Gather necessary medical supplies, including needles, sample vials, and other testing materials.
  • Update patient records accurately in the organization's database.
  • Provide reassurance to patients who may feel anxious during the blood draw process.
  • Collaborate with supervising medical professionals and follow their guidance.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Medical Assistant Certification or Phlebotomy Certification in good standing is required.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences.
  • Proficient in managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Ability to perform under pressure.
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology, human anatomy, and testing protocols.
  • Flexible availability, including potential overtime and weekend shifts to address safety emergencies.
  • Bilingual skills are highly preferred but not mandatory.

Work Schedule:

  • Standard hours: 8am-5pm, Monday through Friday (subject to change).
