About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a project that is transforming the lithium-ion cell manufacturing process and platform. You will be part of a diverse and multicultural team that is passionate about working on exciting technology and making a real impact in the industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and validate lithium-ion cells using advanced 3D modeling software and GD&T principles.
  • Develop and implement new manufacturing methods and processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical cell design with other aspects of the product development process.
  • Conduct thorough analysis and testing to predict cell properties and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and validating lithium-ion cells.
  • Strong knowledge of typical battery manufacturing methods, including ultrasonic welding, laser welding, and heat sealing.
  • Proficient in 3D modeling software, preferably Solidworks.
  • Skilled in GD&T, including tolerance stackup analysis.
  • Ability to predict cell properties based on electrode properties.
