Licensed Pharmacist - Casual Position

McLaren Health Care is seeking a skilled and licensed Pharmacist to fulfill a casual role within our organization. In this capacity, you will be essential in dispensing prescribed medications and pharmaceutical products, ensuring the highest standards of patient care while complying with industry regulations and best practices. You will collaborate effectively with medical personnel, healthcare providers, patients, and their families to address any pharmaceutical and patient care inquiries.

Primary Duties:

  • Evaluate and interpret physician prescriptions to prepare medications while identifying any potential therapeutic conflicts.
  • Dispense medications through processes such as compounding, packaging, and labeling pharmaceutical products.
  • Monitor and assess drug therapies, providing recommendations for effective medication management.
  • Supervise pharmacy operations, including coordinating the tasks of pharmacy technicians, verifying the preparation and labeling of medications, and ensuring precise order entries and inspections.
  • Provide pharmacological guidance by responding to inquiries from healthcare professionals and advising patients on their medication regimens.

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • Graduation from an accredited pharmacy program with a BS Pharm or PharmD Degree.
  • Completion of a pharmacy internship and possession of a valid state license.

Desirable:

At least one year of experience in a hospital pharmacy setting.
