Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will work closely with our team of professionals to provide high-quality occupational therapy services to children with special needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in occupational therapy, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively with children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement individualized occupational therapy plans to meet the unique needs of each child.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to identify areas of strength and weakness.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to develop and implement treatment plans that address the child's physical, emotional, and cognitive needs.
  • Provide direct therapy services to children, including activities such as sensory integration, fine motor skills, and daily living skills.
  • Communicate effectively with children, families, and staff to ensure that the child's needs are met and that progress is tracked.
  • Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay up-to-date on best practices and to share knowledge and expertise with colleagues.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current New York State license as an Occupational Therapist.
  • 2 years of experience working with children with special needs.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Valid NYS Driver's License.
