Job Summary:

The General Manager is a seasoned hospitality professional responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Extended Stay America Ft. Worth City View hotel. This individual will lead a team of management staff and front-line associates to ensure exceptional guest experiences, optimize financial performance, and maintain high-quality product and service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement sales plans and budgets to drive revenue growth
  • Lead physical property improvement projects to enhance guest amenities and services
  • Conduct daily ABR meetings to review sales performance and set goals
  • Play a pivotal role in hotel sales efforts, including calling on top ten accounts and meeting with clients
  • Tour operating departments daily to ensure efficient operations and make adjustments as needed
  • Conduct weekly staff meetings, including training sessions, to review previous and future sales and operations efforts
  • Meet all financial review dates and corporate-directed programs in a timely fashion
  • Hold monthly financial reviews with department managers and available supervisors
  • Develop managers for future advancement through competency training and corporate-sponsored training programs
  • Participate in required M.O.D. coverage as scheduled
  • Adhere to all Aimbridge Hospitality policies and procedures and train new managers to ensure compliance
Requirements:
  • At least 6 years of progressive experience in a hotel or related field, or a 4-year college degree and at least 4-5 years of related experience, or a 2-year college degree and at least 5-6 years of related experience
  • Proficient in Windows operating systems, Company-approved spreadsheets, and word processing
  • Valid driver's license for the applicable state
  • Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
  • Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
  • Ability to handle problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary
