Marcum Search LLC is in search of a seasoned Tax Senior Manager or Director to enhance our established national firm in the Los Angeles office. This role demands a skilled tax professional with excellent interpersonal and leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities
- Engage closely with clients to deliver innovative business tax planning, consulting, and compliance services promptly and effectively.
- Oversee the review of federal and state corporate income tax returns and manage the preparation and review of income tax provisions.
- Exercise professional judgment in identifying issues and developing solutions for compliance challenges in tax returns.
- Lead and ensure the success of multiple engagements in corporate taxation.
- Guarantee complete client satisfaction through open communication, timely management of deadlines, and proactive sharing of tax-saving strategies.
- Collaborate with Partners and staff on client management, professional growth, and business development initiatives.
- Supervise, develop, train, and mentor staff, including conducting performance and engagement reviews.
- Participate in professional development and continuing education sessions regularly.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is required.
- A Master's in Taxation, LLM in Taxation, or Juris Doctor degree is a plus.
- CPA certification is required, with a minimum of 8 years of tax experience.
- Familiarity with S Corporation, partnership, and individual taxation is advantageous.
- Experience with CCH Axcess, GoFileRoom, and CCH ProSystem fx Engagement is a plus.
- Strong technical skills in tax preparation and review, tax compliance, agency correspondence, and tax research.
- Ability to problem-solve and think creatively and logically.
- Proven ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.
- Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills that foster strong client and staff relationships.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and written and verbal communication skills.
- Capability to attract and develop profitable, sustainable client relationships.
- Working in the Los Angeles office three days per week or more is recommended.
Compensation Range
Salary: $150,000 - $180,000.00
