As a critical care nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill patients, collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, and promoting a culture of safety and excellence within the unit.
Key Responsibilities- Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient
- Monitor and manage patient's condition, including vital signs, lab results, and medication administration
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination
- Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to promote a culture of safety and excellence
- Develop and maintain knowledge of current evidence-based practices and guidelines in critical care nursing
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and wellness
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program
- Valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board
- BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments
- Experience in critical care nursing, preferably in an ICU setting
- Knowledge of current evidence-based practices and guidelines in critical care nursing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
