Job Summary:

As a Cook, you'll play a key role in preparing meals by chopping vegetables, grilling, making salads, and assembling dishes.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Foster a fun and entertaining atmosphere that embodies Bally's Born to Entertain philosophy.
  • Promote our customer-centric culture by offering superior guest service and building long-lasting relationships.
  • Prepare food according to basic recipes using simple techniques.
  • Use a range of kitchen tools and utensils to measure and mix ingredients.
  • Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization in freezers, walk-ins, and storage areas.
  • Ensure all foods are covered, labeled, and stored properly.
  • Practice safe food handling techniques.
  • Maintain a clean workstation and kitchen environment.
  • Assist with maintaining the cleanliness of the casino property.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a gaming license issued by the Illinois Gaming Board.
  • Must be a high school graduate or equivalent.
  • 6 months or more years of related experience or training preferred.
  • Must be Food Handler Certified.
  • Must have open work availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Physical Demands:

  • Regularly required to see, stand, and smell; stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Able to work with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor under occasional fast-paced and hot working conditions.

Work Environment:

The work environment contains bright lights, loud noise, and stressful situations.
