We are currently seeking a skilled Estimator to become a vital part of our team. Location: Indianapolis, IN.
Compensation: $75,000-$150,000 based on experience.


Key Responsibilities:
As an Estimator, you will:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for various electrical construction projects by utilizing construction plans and specifications in line with company standards.
  • Act as the primary contact for the company during bid days.
  • Calculate comprehensive takeoffs of the scope of work.
  • Coordinate the overall estimating efforts for assigned bids/projects.
  • Support other departments as needed, which may include preparing estimates in different disciplines and assisting Project Managers with job initiation and change-order costs.
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners and general contractors.
  • Collaborate with the PACT team to identify projects to bid and determine profitable market segments.
  • Work with the PACT team to establish annual goals and strategies.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess:

  • Several years of experience in estimating, cost control, or engineering within the industrial construction sector; experience with design-build projects is preferred.
  • Experience estimating for union contractors is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Background in healthcare, industrial, and commercial projects is preferred.
  • Strong proficiency in computer skills, particularly in Excel, and experience with advanced project management and construction estimating software, including ACCUBID.
  • The ability to interpret computerized cost data and read blueprints effectively.
  • Capability to perform routine maintenance and pricing updates to the ACCUBID database.
  • A solid understanding of industrial building codes and related systems/controls.
  • Strong mathematical, organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
