Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our team at United Canvas & Sling Inc. As an Assembly Technician, you will play a critical role in the production of high-quality sports equipment and athletic products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare workstations by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Operate within standard operations procedures (SOP's) to ensure efficient and safe production.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Maintain equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and ability to use a variety of hand and power tools to assemble aluminum, steel, and stainless equipment.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures while performing assembly tasks.
  • Ability to read and understand diagrams or blueprints.
  • Ability to work overtime and/or weekend work as required to meet customer needs.
Education

A high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required. This is an entry-level position where the incumbent will receive on-the-job training.
