Position Overview

SAIC is in search of a Senior Electronics Technician to join our dedicated team. This role requires on-site presence and is critical to our operations.

The Senior Electronics Technician will engage in comprehensive testing, troubleshooting, and calibration of produced sub-assemblies and complete systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up, calibrate, test, and troubleshoot electronic circuits, components, assemblies, and finished products generated by the manufacturing team.
  • Conduct a variety of tests using established protocols, prepare test specimens, operate equipment, document test results, and identify discrepancies due to equipment failures or observational inaccuracies.
  • Contribute to the enhancement, testing, and assessment of new equipment as it becomes available.
  • Provide accurate reports on the performance of current designs.
  • Evaluate assemblies and final systems, interpret evaluation results, and document any malfunctions.
  • Assist Manufacturing and Engineering teams by conveying technical insights regarding equipment issues and solutions.
  • Adhere to and promote all company policies, departmental standards, and quality assurance measures.
  • Perform rework and repairs on electronic assemblies as necessary.

Qualifications

Essential Skills and Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED along with formal training in electronics.
  • Extensive knowledge of both digital and analog circuitry, digital signal processing technology, microprocessors, and digital-to-analog control devices.
  • Proficient in utilizing electronic testing instruments, including oscilloscopes, digital voltmeters, meggers, and signal generators.
  • Demonstrated soldering capabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with effective written and verbal communication abilities to collaborate with colleagues and clients.
  • Aptitude for translating technical jargon into understandable language.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with an active Interim or Secret Security Clearance and the capability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license is required.

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiarity with CMPro, Jira, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of ISTQB national testing standards and certifications.
