Key DutiesResponsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Accurately process and manage bi-weekly payroll, ensuring timely completion. This involves reviewing timecards and payroll data, making necessary corrections, and maintaining appropriate earnings, deductions, and withholding records.
- Collaborate with supervisors to confirm information and address any discrepancies.
- Handle wage garnishments, child support orders, and similar obligations.
- Ensure adherence to tax laws and company policies.
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll checks, deductions, leave balances, direct deposits, and other related matters.
- Work with HR to keep employee records up to date.
- Maintain documentation for payroll deductions, vacation time, and other related spreadsheets.
- Monitor and track PTO, vacation, bereavement, jury duty, and other leave types.
- Conduct employment verifications.
- Assist HR with various additional tasks as required.
Required Skills:
- Demonstrated experience in payroll processing.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Trustworthy with a commitment to confidentiality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software applications.
- Experience with Paylocity and Global Shop is advantageous.
- Knowledge of accounting principles and payroll best practices.
