The Product Engineer will lead and perform a wide range of engineering, project management, and technical tasks involving the application of engineering knowledge and the development of solutions to complex problems related to medium voltage switchgear products, materials, manufacturing processes, development tests, and unique customer applications. This role combines various engineering disciplines to facilitate product line growth and continuous improvements for manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:- Support updates to existing products and new product development projects, including developing and maintaining detailed project schedules and scopes while incorporating resource management, maintaining a budget, and meeting milestone deliverables.
- Delegate design and drafting responsibilities to the team and manage the release of engineering models and documents through change management practices.
- Develop and execute design verification test plans and reports.
- Support the quality team in determining root cause for warranty and quality issues and recommend potential solutions.
- Collaborate with supply chain and purchasing to identify and select suppliers to support new designs.
- Initiate and prepare specifications for products, equipment, and processes while maintaining awareness and control of costs.
- Support the creation of applications notes, marketing literature, and technical papers.
- Work with manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and field sales to meet new design manufacturability, product performance, and cost goals.
- Coordinate prototype builds and testing. Write and implement design verification test plans (electrical, thermal, and mechanical). Coordinate design verification test plans when necessary with applicable standards agencies (UL, CSA, KEMA, ANSI, etc.).
- Provide technical training for both internal and external audiences. Provide application support for end users.
- Develop and maintain a design automation system for all drawings, designs, BOMs, and ECNs.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of three years of engineering experience.
- Minimum of one year of customer service experience in an engineering environment.
- Must be willing to relocate to Omaha, Nebraska. Relocation assistance will be provided.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
