Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Women's Health team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and support to women and their families during the childbirth process.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate communication and collaboration with the healthcare team to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of patients.
- Promote optimal health, well-being, and safety of patients through the use of the nursing process and adherence to patient care standards and guidelines.
- Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.
- Associates Degree in Nursing required; Nursing Diploma or by endorsement.
- Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates, preferred for experienced RNs.
- One year experience preferred.
- Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty.
- 2 years of L&D experience preferred.
- Experience in L&D, Postpartum, and well baby care, circulating for c-sections, triage, and as charge nurse preferred.
- Charge Nurse experience is a plus.
- RN License required; Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact.
Our OB Post-Partum department at Longmont United Hospital has 19 LDRP beds, six Level II Special Care Nursery beds, two ORs and a three-bed triage. Our scope is Labor and Delivery, postpartum couplet care (mom & well baby), antepartum care, C-sections, Level II nursery and care for babies 34 weeks and up.
