Rapport International is seeking a highly skilled Nuer interpreter to provide in-person interpretation services for our clients in the Omaha area.

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and fully bilingual Nuer interpreter who can work independently and maintain strict confidentiality/ HIPPA compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality interpretation services in person for medical appointments and other settings as needed
  • Maintain accurate records of interpretation sessions and report any issues or concerns to management
  • Ensure confidentiality and comply with all relevant laws and regulations regarding sensitive information
Requirements:
  • Fully bilingual in Nuer and English
  • Excellent communication and listening skills
  • Familiarity with medical terminology
  • Ability to work independently and manage own schedule
  • Reliable transportation to attend appointments locally
  • Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
  • Must have access to a printer
  • Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
  • Background checks and drug screens required
