CBRNE/WMD Training Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled CBRNE/WMD Training Specialist to join our team at Leidos. As a key member of our National Security Sector, you will contribute to the development and delivery of specialized training programs for emergency response professionals.
Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver comprehensive training programs in CBRNE/WMD response and mitigation, including classroom-style instruction and hands-on demonstrations.
- Conduct research and analysis to improve the effectiveness of our training programs and stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments.
- Maintain a high level of expertise in CBRNE/WMD response and mitigation, including knowledge of federal response plans and NIMS.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and other stakeholders to ensure seamless training delivery and continuous improvement.
- Develop and maintain training materials, including course outlines, instructional guides, and evaluation tools.
- Interface with national, state, and local officials to maintain expertise in state-of-the-art training techniques and methods.
- Ensure quality instruction and training delivery, including hands-on, multi-task performance-oriented training in live agent environments.
- Address safety issues and ensure compliance with risk assessment and safety standard operating procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of experience working within one of the emergency response disciplines that support all-hazard response.
- 5 years of specialized experience working with WMD, CBRNE, or Hazardous materials (civilian or military) at the technician level as defined by OSHA and/or NFPA.
- Minimum 3 years of current instructional experience.
- Evidence of instructor training and/or education from a reputable institution.
- Possess functional knowledge of the federal response plan/NIMS.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 65 pounds and perform prolonged standing, bending, climbing, kneeling, and pushing and pulling carts containing equipment.
- Ability to wear Level A-C PPE including SCBA for period of 1.5 hours up to five hours.
- Must pass a pre-placement and annual medical exam.
- Must submit to and obtain final suitability by successful completion of background check, financial institutions/credit bureau check, and disclosure under the Freedom of Information Act.
- Due to Federal Contract Regulations, U. S. citizenship is required.
- Must have an accepted form of government-issued ID compliant with the Real ID Act.
- Working knowledge of weapons of mass destruction, including related experience in a WMD incident and/or experience in a manmade or natural disaster of national significance.
- Postsecondary teaching experience or teaching degree.
