Position Summary

Pickleball Coach (Green Lake Community Center)

Are you enthusiastic about teaching and have experience in pickleball? The Associated Recreation Council (ARC) offers a fantastic opportunity for you as a Pickleball Coach. This part-time position is based at the Green Lake Community Center.

ARC collaborates with Seattle Parks and Recreation to provide the community with access to licensed childcare and a diverse range of recreational and educational programs, classes, and activities. As a Pickleball Coach, you will guide participants through various pickleball techniques and drills, helping them learn the fundamentals and enhance their skills. The program aims to introduce new techniques while promoting fitness and healthy living.

Work Schedule
  • Mondays (6:30-7:30 PM), Thursdays (10:30-11:30 AM)
  • Potential opportunities to teach summer camps if available.
  • Summer Activity Camps: Monday to Friday, 10 AM to noon.
Target Audience
  • Monday & Thursday sessions (18+)
  • Summer Camps
Key Responsibilities of the Pickleball Coach include:
  • Design and deliver age-appropriate pickleball lessons and activities for each class.
  • Plan, lead, and execute course-specific activities for each session.
  • Set up and dismantle the teaching area before and after each lesson.
  • Complete necessary administrative tasks, including attendance logs and incident reports.
Qualifications for the Pickleball Coach include:
  • Must be over 18 years of age.
  • A genuine passion for teaching and playing pickleball.
  • Must pass a criminal background check if hired.
  • Must provide proof of eligibility to work in the US and a valid photo ID.
Compensation:
  • $24.50 - $26.50 per hour
