Overview:


Colliers Engineering & Design is on the lookout for a Lead Project Manager to support our Traffic Planning Division. This role is ideal for a collaborative, innovative, and results-driven individual who will play a crucial part in enhancing our operations. The Lead Project Manager will leverage their leadership and engineering expertise to conduct traffic assessments and engage in various design initiatives.


Key Responsibilities:


1. Conduct traffic impact assessments, including data gathering and capacity analysis for intersections and roadways utilizing HCS, Synchro, and SimTraffic software.

2. Represent the company at municipal planning, zoning, and other relevant board meetings.

3. Develop conceptual drawings aligned with client development goals and findings from due diligence processes.

4. Review and evaluate traffic studies, as well as roadway, intersection, and traffic signal designs.

5. Prepare calculations, plans, specifications, technical documents, and permit applications for both private and public infrastructure projects.

6. Generate construction cost estimates based on approved plan drawings for bonding and client needs.

7. Oversee, guide, and manage the efforts of assigned staff and projects.

8. Create effective work plans, timelines, and man-hour budgets.

9. Engage in client management duties and contribute to business development initiatives.

10. Strive to meet predefined goals for profitability, productivity, and delivery schedules.


Maintain regular communication with professional engineering consultants, government entities, involved communities, and contractors regarding the planning, design, and permitting of diverse infrastructure projects.


Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.

• 10+ years of experience in Transportation Planning and Traffic Engineering.

• Preferred: Registered Professional Engineer (PE) in TX or the ability to obtain licensure within three months.

• Desirable: Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification or other relevant certifications.

• Strong technical skills in designing highway, intersection, and signal improvement plans.

• Familiarity with traffic analysis methodologies, including trip generation calculations, Synchro software, and AutoCAD Civil 3D.

• Previous experience with TXDOT and local design regulations and permitting requirements.

• Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English for effective communication in job-related contexts.
