Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled and patient-focused Physical Therapist to join our team. As a key member of our rehabilitation team, you will be responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients with a wide range of conditions, with the ultimate goal of helping them recover from injuries, manage pain, and regain mobility.
Responsibilities- Evaluate new patients, understanding their current medical and emotional situations, and develop personalized plans of care.
- Treat patients, setting measurable, functional goals, and educating them on treatment options and home exercises to complement their clinical sessions.
- Supervise aides when providing modalities for non-Medicare, non-BCBSM patients, and assist with general setup and cleanup duties.
- Monitor and re-evaluate patient progress, revising plans of care and resetting goals as needed to ensure the best possible outcome.
- Address pain management as a crucial component of care, utilizing techniques to reduce pain and increase patients' functions and everyday activities.
- Determine when to discharge patients, teaching them proper mechanics, ergonomics, and strategies to reduce future incidents.
- Write timely and accurate documentation, including evaluations, re-evaluations, discharges, and daily progress notes.
- Achieve a reasonable level of productivity, depending on the number of referrals and patient types, with a goal of 55 to 60 treatments plus evaluations per week.
- Participate in research studies supported by the clinic and contribute to developing protocols for common diagnoses.
- Provide input on policies, procedures, and strategy to ensure high-quality care across all Team Rehabilitation clinics.
- Handle patient feedback and complaints promptly and professionally.
- Stay updated in the latest research and techniques, attending company in-house CEUs and utilizing continuing education allowances for seminars, workshops, and professional development opportunities.
- Doctorate or Master's in Physical Therapy
- Valid Physical Therapy License
- Commitment to Team's initiative of making Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion a priority
