Job Summary:

As a Transportation Specialist with Heath City School District, you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school and other designated locations. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:

Drive a school transportation vehicle within designated routes and schedules
Ensure the safety of student passengers while in transit
Maintain order and discipline among students during transportation
Perform daily safety and operational inspections of assigned vehicle
Report any needed mechanical repairs or issues
Maintain cleanliness of vehicle to ensure safe operating condition

Requirements:

Valid California Driver's License
California School Bus Driver's Certificate
Safe driving record
Knowledge of California Motor Vehicle Code and Education Code
Ability to read and write at a level necessary to perform required duties
Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions
Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships
