Job Summary

The Procurement Analyst is responsible for evaluating production timelines to ensure that raw material requirements are fulfilled across the business unit. Timely and precise fulfillment of product needs is essential to maintain minimal inventory levels while supporting production demands.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Assess business needs and place orders for raw materials according to required dates and quantities.
  • Modify and update raw material schedules in response to production changes and demand fluctuations.
  • Promptly communicate any schedule adjustments to planning and production teams.
  • Support the purchasing team and engineering department in sourcing and obtaining quotes for new materials.
  • Build and sustain relationships with both new and existing suppliers, negotiating pricing, reducing lead times, and ensuring quality standards.
  • Analyze demand signals from MRP, manual triggers, and planner communications.
  • Collaborate with the materials group and production to guarantee adequate inventory levels for both short and long-term schedules.
  • Contribute to cost-saving initiatives and projects within the business unit.
  • Demonstrate initiative and ownership of materials projects to promote lean practices, actively engaging in the development and implementation of process enhancements within the materials group.
Qualifications for Success
  • Bachelor's Degree is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of ERP Systems; experience with SAP is advantageous.
  • 1-2 years of experience in procurement within a manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and presentation.
  • Effective communication skills are essential.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
  • High sense of urgency, accountability, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
