Job Title: Christmas Driver

Are you a skilled driver looking for a rewarding opportunity to make a difference in your community? The Salvation Army Central Territory is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Christmas Driver to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Christmas Driver to provide transportation and coordination for kettle season. This role requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently. As a Christmas Driver, you will be responsible for transporting bellringers and kettles to and from sites, maintaining equipment, and coordinating with Corps Officers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transport bellringers and kettles to and from sites
  • Maintain equipment and ensure all bellringers are clean and presentable
  • Coordinate with Corps Officers on all disciplinary problems
  • Log drop-off and pick-up times of bellringers on route sheets and have them sign off
  • Conduct periodical site checks throughout the day to ensure bellringers are working
  • Assist with daily counting of monies as needed
  • Secure monies at all times
  • Ensure compliance with all procedures related to assignments
Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED preferred but not required
  • 1-year related experience with a good knowledge of the area
  • Valid Driver's License and good driving record
  • Clearance of TSA MVR check

Physical Demands/Work Environment:
  • This position is required to do light physical labor
  • In order to successfully perform the essential functions of this position, the employee is regularly required to drive and set up kettle equipment
  • This position requires the ability to lift at least 25 pounds
  • The work environment for this position includes an office or outside environment with a low to high noise level
  • Must be able to drive
