Position Overview
The Production Assembler I plays a crucial role in the fabrication of component parts or the assembly of the final product, adhering closely to customer specifications. This position is responsible for securing and maintaining the necessary components and supplies for efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare the work area for assembly tasks.
- Assemble parts according to detailed instructions and established quality standards.
- Utilize hand tools effectively to complete the assembly process.
- Organize and stack finished products following company procedures, including labeling and banding as necessary.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, ensuring all equipment is safe for use.
- Conduct pre-shift inspections of equipment and report any issues.
- Keep production records as required by company standards.
- Verify that materials and finished products meet compliance standards.
- Adhere to established safety and quality procedures, rules, and standards.
- Engage in safety, continuous improvement, and other relevant programs and meetings.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is preferred but not mandatory.
- No prior experience is required; however, 6 months of experience in manufacturing or assembly is advantageous.
- Basic math skills are necessary.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years old.
