About the RoleThe Nurse Residency Unit is a 20-bed unit that serves as the cornerstone of our Med/Surg Nurse Residency Program. Our team is committed to creating a safe learning environment that fosters the development of competent and highly-skilled nurses. As a Nurse Residency Unit RN, you will work closely with experienced preceptors, leadership, and our Nurse Residency Coordinator to provide unparalleled support to nurse residents during orientation and transition to practice.
Responsibilities- Provide high-quality nursing care to acute care patients utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care.
- Function within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrate professional growth and accountability.
- Maintain standards of practice, coordinate patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Graduate of a nursing program
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BLS certification required
- One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred
- Bachelors degree preferred
