Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). As a PACU Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing patient status throughout the episode of care, developing an individualized perianesthesia plan of care, and providing hand-off reports to other teammates.

Responsibilities
  • Patient Assessment: Assess patient status throughout the episode of care, including vital signs, pain levels, and overall condition.
  • Perianesthesia Plan of Care: Develop an individualized plan of care by implementing evidence-based practices and collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
  • Hand-Off Reports: Provide accurate, concise, and pertinent hand-off reports to other teammates to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Other Duties: Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • Education: Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
  • Experience: One year of PACU experience preferred.
  • Licensure: Current state licensure to practice nursing in good standing.
  • Certifications: Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification. Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification. Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope services within 90 days of employment or documentation of current PALS certification.
  • Specialty Certification: Specialty certification in Perioperative Nursing or Perianesthesia is preferred.
Compensation

USD $28.03/Hr. USD $49.86/Hr.
