Job Title: Research Biostatistician

About the Role

Hackensack Meridian Health is seeking a highly skilled Research Biostatistician to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for providing statistical and study design support, conducting data analysis, and supporting the interpretation of results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with investigators in protocol development, assist with study design, and prepare the statistical section of the protocol.
  • Perform baseline, interim, and final statistical analysis of research datasets in accordance with federal and private grants and contracts.
  • Develop and maintain complex databases for research studies.
  • Assist faculty with special research projects, including medical information requests and special studies.
  • Write grants and scientific publications, providing expertise and scientific context regarding the study design and statistical techniques to be used.
  • Provide biostatistical expertise in the preparation of clinical research proposals.

Requirements

  • Master's in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Public Health, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 or more years of related experience.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or in a team and handle multiple deadline-driven tasks in a dynamic environment.
  • Expertise in survival analysis methods and strong analytical skills to develop complex statistical models.
  • Substantial SAS programming experience and experience programming in R, S-Plus, STATA.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Public Health, Mathematics, or a related field.
