Position Summary

The Forklift and Lull Operator is responsible for the proficient operation and management of forklift and lull machinery to facilitate the loading and unloading of materials and deliveries. This role involves moving items to and from storage areas, machinery, and loading docks, as well as assisting in the transportation of materials on the manufacturing floor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to company policies and safety guidelines.
  • Demonstrate flexibility in working various shifts, including weekends.
  • Utilize other material handling equipment, such as pallet jacks, as needed.
  • Safely operate forklifts to manage the loading, unloading, and movement of materials throughout the facility.
  • Ensure organized and accessible inventory by transporting materials to designated storage areas and assisting with inventory counts.
  • Support production lines by delivering materials promptly and removing finished goods to appropriate storage or shipping areas.
  • Efficiently load and unload trucks, ensuring all items are secured and accounted for.
  • Comply with safety regulations to prevent accidents and equipment damage, conducting daily inspections of the forklift.
  • Collaborate with plant personnel to ensure smooth operations and address material handling challenges.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the forklift and surrounding areas.
  • Inspect materials for quality and report any defects to the appropriate personnel.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Relevant experience or training in material handling.
  • Valid certification for forklift operation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of experience in tool or equipment maintenance.
  • 2 years of vocational technical training.
  • Prior experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or warehouse setting is advantageous.

Additional Requirements:

Must possess reliable transportation, a valid driver's license, and consent to background checks and random drug screenings.

Work Authorization:

Must be authorized to work in the USA.
