Job Summary

The Pilot Company is seeking a skilled Blending Operations Specialist to conduct blending operations and provide equipment maintenance at Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) blending plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform daily DEF blending process and collect and submit product samples
  • Conduct light plant maintenance to prevent equipment failure, including greasing equipment, monitoring the water system, replacing equipment filters and resin beds, and sweeping
  • Collaborate with the DEF Rail Movements Specialist to schedule rail car deliveries of DEF concentrate to plant(s)
  • Troubleshoot equipment repairs for technical and mechanical issues, maintain inventory of replacement parts, and ensure all safety and operational procedures are followed
  • Recommend improvements for DEF plant operations and assist in implementing operational changes as directed by the manager
  • Travel to other DEF sites to conduct blending operations as needed
  • Model behaviors that support the company's common purpose and ensure guests and team members are supported at the highest level
  • Ensure all activities are in compliance with rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of blending operations and equipment maintenance, as well as excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
