Job Title: Registered Nurse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Laredo College. As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, promoting health and wellness, and collaborating with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care
  • Develop and implement health education programs to promote wellness and disease prevention
  • Supervise and train nursing staff, including LVNs and Health Assistants
  • Maintain accurate and complete patient records, adhering to confidentiality and HIPAA guidelines

Requirements:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited program
  • Valid RN license to practice in Texas, issued by the State Board of Nurse Examiners
  • Current CPR certification
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
  • Valid Texas driver's license and reliable transportation

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a community college setting or similar field
  • Experience working in a medical office or clinical setting
  • Office work experience
  • Information technology skills necessary to perform essential job requirements

Working Conditions:

This position requires working in a standard office environment, with occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, or crouching. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move items weighing up to 50 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
