Submit monthly sales tax filings for divisions as mandated.

Prepare and enter journal entries in accordance with established accounting protocols.

Conduct bank account reconciliations for non-designated locations.

Analyze ledgers linked to relevant funds and accounts.

Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis.

Generate monthly financial reports for review by the Accounting Manager, ensuring completion by the 15th of each month.

Input annual and adjusted division budgets into accounting software.

Draft written analyses of budget variances on a monthly basis and as required.

Maintain records in alignment with established policies and procedures.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related discipline. Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Coursework in business administration and finance is advantageous. Training in computer-based accounting is highly beneficial.

Experience:
A minimum of two years in the accounting sector, with a preference for experience in computer utilization.

Skills/Abilities:
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.

The role demands a confident, self-driven, multi-tasking individual with integrity in resource management.

Ability to foster teamwork and maintain confidentiality is essential.

Act in accordance with the Mission Statement of The Salvation Army.

Must be exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and a self-starter capable of meeting deadlines.

Strong communication skills are imperative.


Willingness to promote and operate in alignment with The Salvation Army's mission, vision, and values, particularly concerning service excellence.


Supervisory Responsibility:
None

Physical Requirements:
Must possess good speaking, hearing, and vision abilities, along with excellent manual dexterity.

Ability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods, with dexterity of hands and fingers to operate office equipment.

This position may necessitate the ability to lift and/or move more than 15 pounds occasionally. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals to perform the essential functions of this role.

Driving:
Must hold a valid driver's license from the state of residence.

Must be approved through The Salvation Army Fleet Safety Program to operate either a Salvation Army or personal vehicle for Salvation Army business.


Working Conditions:
Work is conducted in a standard office environment. This is a full-time position that may require occasional weekend and evening hours.
