Forklift Operator

Olsten Staffing is seeking an experienced and skilled forklift operator to join their team in Pageland, South Carolina. As a forklift operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials within the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate sit-down and stand-up forklifts, as well as other industrial vehicles, to load and unload warehouse material.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Build and pick pallets, load goods onto conveyer belts, and stack crates and pallets.
- Ensure the safe and efficient movement of goods, following safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Check loads for proper stacking and centering, and determine when repairs are needed on equipment.
- Rotate stock to ensure the oldest items are shipped or sold first.
- Load and unload product from and onto tractor trailers, rail cars, and cargo ships.
- Perform quality assurance duties, including reporting product damage and shortages.
- Use radio frequency scanning equipment to track inventory.
- Shrink wrap goods and prepare them for transport.
- Weigh and record weights of products.
- Analyze production schedules to determine timely transportation of materials and products.
- Document arrival, departure, and movement of goods, check trucking manifests and bills of lading, maintain inventory, and track fulfillment of customer and vendor orders.
- Valid driver's license.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Proficiency in operating technical machinery and RF scanners.
- Good physical condition.
- Mathematical aptitude.
- Good organizational skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Ability to handle up to 50 lbs.
- Exposure to dust, vibration, noise, heights, elevated platforms, confined spaces, chemicals, temperature variation, and rotating equipment.
- Ability to use personal protective equipment.
The pay rate for this position is $15.00 per hour. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits, and a 401K plan. Our associates may be eligible for paid leave, including Paid Sick Leave, and Holiday pay where applicable.
