Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily operations of the Perioperative Services department, including staffing, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Director of Nursing to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to nursing staff, including coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
  • Participate in performance improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of quality improvement projects.
  • Maintain professional practice standards and clinical expertise, and demonstrate leadership skills.
Requirements
  • New York State Registered Professional License and current registration or valid permit to practice in New York State.
  • Master's degree from an accredited program required or a projected graduation date within three years of position acceptance.
  • M.S.N. preferred.
  • Minimum of five years management experience or progressive leadership experience.
  • Minimum of three years of PACU/ASU experience.
  • Membership in ASPAN.
  • BLS.
