We are seeking an experienced Production Cook III to join our team at Oakwood Village Univ Woods Homes, Inc. in Madison. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment and make a meaningful impact on the lives of our residents.

Job Summary

The Production Cook III is responsible for the overall preparation of food within the production environment. This includes adhering to published production forecasts and portion control to minimize waste, as well as providing direction to production staff during the absence of the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare meals according to menu and modified diets using standardized menus.
  • Monitor food delivery to units and dining rooms during meals for quality of service and menu accuracy.
  • Responsible for relating changes in menu and production procedures as directed by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.
  • Utilize correct HACCP and sanitation procedures in the process of frozen products.
  • Clean and monitor work areas to provide safe sanitary work surfaces and equipment.
  • Prepares for and assists with regulatory survey of the kitchen.
  • Maintain temperature standards for equipment, food production, and food presentation.
  • Attend staff development and in-services for continued development within the Oakwood Dining Team.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years quantity food production experience and/or training in a related setting.
  • Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize workload.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with residents and staff members.
  • Ability to direct dining staff to provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and staff.
