Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled Kitchen Helper/Dietary Aide to join our team. As a key member of our food service team, you will assist the cook in preparing and serving meals, ensuring that quality food service is provided at all times.
Responsibilities- Assist the cook in preparing and serving meals
- Place prepared food on plates/trays following tray tickets
- Wash dishes and clean and sanitize the kitchen according to health standards
- Utilize protective gear in all appropriate functions
- Report equipment/cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion
- Ensure established standards, safety, and quality guidelines are met
- Follow infection control and universal precautions policies and procedures
- Positively represent HCSG by following instructions, being courteous, and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff
- Provide positive, pleasant, and tactful interactions with residents, staff, and facility guests
- Demonstrate a positive attitude with the ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Perform routine, repetitive tasks daily
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Specialized training in food service desirable
- Current ServSafe certification required by State/County law
- Food Handler's card required
- Ability to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds, push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods
