Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Plating Technician to join our team. As a Plating Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation and plating of metal parts, ensuring high-quality finishes and adhering to strict safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare metal parts for plating by cleaning and degreasing surfaces
  • Operate plating baths to pickle and passivate metal parts
  • Assist in cleaning acid baths and mixing new bath solutions
  • Inspect passivation analysis and report any issues to supervisors
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to 5S and lean manufacturing principles
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and quality control
  • Perform daily preventative maintenance on equipment and report any issues to supervisors
  • Participate in training and development programs to improve skills and knowledge

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • 1 year of manufacturing experience
  • Basic knowledge of cleaning baths and plating processes
  • Proficient in use of basic computer applications
  • Familiarity with blueprint and process sheet interpretation
  • Ability to work with and around chemicals, including cyanide, hydrofluoric acid, and nitric acid
  • FAA certification
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs. and push/pull up to 22 lbs.

Desired Characteristics:

  • 1-3 years of manufacturing experience
  • Prior experience working with acids and bases
  • Familiarity with 5S and lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience in a self-directed teaming environment
