Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

We are seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Medical Solutions. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using various equipment to assist in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries.

Job Summary:
  • Perform diagnostic general radiological procedures utilizing various imaging equipment.
  • Assist in the diagnosis of disease and injuries.
  • Screen, schedule, and direct patients to appropriate locations and services within the Imaging Department.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all Radiology and Vascular / Cardiac U/S exams and procedures.
  • Assist with the training of new staff.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine and complex sonography imaging by acquiring and processing patient exams in accordance with accrediting bodies and/or manufacturer guidelines.
  • Select proper sonography protocols and techniques to obtain optimal data.
  • Review cases with the radiologist when appropriate.
  • Review labs and patient history to perform correct exam.
  • Responsible to review radiology orders for completeness and accuracy.
  • Review patient history and supporting clinical data for medical necessity.
  • Takes steps to acquire additional information if needed from the patient, ordering provider and/or Radiologist.
Requirements:
  • 1+ years of experience in ultrasound/sonography.
  • Must know all preps for each Radiology and Vascular / Cardiac U/S exams and procedures.
  • Positive attitude and demonstrated willingness to assess and improve work environment.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks while coordinating patient flow and a variety of technical procedures requiring independent judgment and initiative.
